Circle is a payment app, much like Paypal. It allows you to instantly send and receive money. There are no fees involved. I use Circle mainly because Prolific Academic allows you to cash out earnings for free whereas PayPal no longer does. I’ve also used it to send money to family members.
It’s quick and easy to use. You just sign up to Circle, connect your bank card or bank account and you’re good to go. You can either use the website or download the Circle app. Sending money is instant, withdrawing to your bank account from your Circle wallet can take up to 2 hours, but I’ve always found that to work instantly too.
Share with friends
Circle rewards you for sharing with your friends. If they sign up with your link both you and they will be rewarded with either £5 or £10 completely free – this will be credited to your Circle accounts when your friend uses Circle to send £25.
Are you a student?
If so you can sign up to be a Circle Ambassador. If selected they will pay you unlimited up to £10 for every friend you sign up, plus you can enter giveaways and receive freebies.
Is it secure?
Yes. Your information is fully encrypted, they are FCA supervised and the money is held by Barclays. You can also set up 2 factor authentication and Touch ID.
